Happiness is Having My Computer Back

I finally got my computer back after it went through surgery with my little bro. He replaced my trashed hard drive with a 325 gig drive (yay!), however, I spent most of Sunday reinstalling everything. What a hassle. The whole process reminds me of changing apartments: I moved in my old programs, I had to reorganize, and I even did a little house keeping (uninstalled all the crap that came with the setup disks). BUT, I’m glad to have it back, and I can share my projects with you guys this week. I have a ton of projects. Since I had no internet access, I did nothing but stamp all weekend. :-)

On another note, my parents gave me their old sewing machine. I’m so excited! To tell you the truth, I originally wanted it to sew paper crafts, but now I’m thinking about taking some entry level sewing classes. I just have to find a place for the machine in our house–it’s a beast! My craft room is already bursting at the seams with rubber stamps.

For today’s card, one of my girlfriends requested a wedding card, so I created the design below. This one was easy, and took no time at all. I love cherry blossom stamps. They always look pretty, even in the simplest designs.

Card Recipe: SU very vanilla, kraft, pink pirouette, and cameo coral card stock, SU pink pirouette, cameo coral, and chocolate chip inks, SU Eastern Blooms (111626) and Heard From the Heart (111644), gingham ribbon from Michael’s, Making Memories brads, SU stampin’ dimensionals

By the way, for people interested in finding the stamp sets that I use in my cards, I started adding the product numbers in the card recipes (note: only possible for Stampin’ Up sets that are still available and have not been retired yet). The SU shopping website is kind of hard to navigate, and the search function isn’t very good, so product numbers will be useful for shopping purposes.  From the demonstrator website, simply enter the product number, and the stamp set will appear. Happy stamping! :-)

GORGEOUS! You know that cherryblossom card sings to my heart :0)

So pretty! I love cherry blossoms too! =) I can’t wait to see some of your sewing projects.

I’m also a cherry-blossom lover. Sweet card; love the message and fonts.

Kelly! Do you actually trim out each flower slowly after stamping it? like your cut outs? i been scratching my head about it bc they all look so perfectly cut with all your other stamps florals.

Hi!

Today I posted an entry on my blog with a link to yours.

Would you let me know if that’s OK?

Thanks,

Nancy Ward
