Older and Busier
Does getting older always equal getting busier? As I’ve been growing in age, my time has become more and more valuable to me. Recently, I feel like I never have any down time; there’s always something pending on my to-do list. In the past, I’d refuse pay for convenience because I thought it was a waste of money. Now, my time is money. I’d gladly pay more for gas if the station is en route to my workplace. I find myself ordering take-out more often because cooking takes so much time. Gone are the days when I’d visit three Ross stores to find the perfect pair of black pumps on sale. Now, I’ll shop online and even pay extra to have merchandise shipped to my door. What is it about getting older and feeling pressed for time? I admit, lack of time is one of the reasons I’m afraid to have kids. I want kids for sure, but I know that once those suckers pop out, I’ll have even less time for myself than I do now. Scary.
In any case, I must love blogging, because I always find time to post a little something as often as I can.
How do you guys find ways to manage your time and relieve the business of life?

Oh Kelly, you manage to write about what I been thinking about for the last several months. I love that I am busy and there is so much great things filling my life but I don’t think I’ve had time to slow down to get things done even though I am always working on something. Hence the lag and absence in tons of things to be done like WB, our thank you cards, the list is endless. I wrote a long list of projects and to do’s that I want to tackle. Every check list off on my list makes me that much happier and motivated to move on to the next. I’m half way to crossing thank you card’s off my list. Then I can move on to picking out wedding album photos, trying to review our wedding video, then trying to work on recaps, there’s too much to do and so little time. I wish my days were longer.
Sorry for the rambling. LOL!
I think that as we age, our priorities differ than those from a few years back! For me, I know I want to do a whole slew of things but am content with crossing off my ‘real’ priorities on my to-do checklist. But I must say that I don’t really miss the days when I ‘wasted’ my day away. I’ve learned that although I have less time to do things I want now, the things that I do are more meaningful to me. Quality over quantity .. I suppose ..?
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I signed up with SU. Now I can make pretty stuff like the crafts showcased on your site. ![]()
My only strategy to get “me” time is to stay up late. Which isn’t so much fun all the time! I am 19 but between school, work, family, church, and boyfriend I don’t have much spare time, so I know what you mean!
I love that card by the way ![]()

I like the colors on this card….good for male or female! I am the same way, I feel like there is never enough time to do anything. I usually function okay on 4-6 hours of sleep during the weekdays and then find time for naps on Sat/ Sunday but I’m still a bargain shopper though and will look around for sales.
