Happy (Cyber) Monday!

Hello, everyone! Have you had your fill of Thanksgiving shopping? If not, the online deals for today are even better than they were on Friday. Many of the websites I’ve visited are offering free shipping, including Gap, Drugstore.com, and more. Me likey.

Black Friday was calm and uneventful. I actually had to go into work! That’s what I get for choosing a job at a retail company. After work, Hubs and I went shopping and I only purchased a couple turtlenecks. I was expecting better deals with the economy situation and all, but there weren’t very many enticing goods on the racks.

This weekend, I also finished a HUGE wedding invitation project. 150 invitations, to be exact. I Gocco-ed, cut, scored, taped, and matted my little fingers away until they were numb. I am So. Very. Tired. It was a huge task for one person to undertake and finish in three days. BUT, I’m done. I’m going to ask the other girls involved with the project (including the bride) if they would mind me posting the finished product once they’re all sent out and received. The invites turned out well, and there are lots of lessons I learned with the project.

Anyway, onto the card of the day. It’s using one of my all-time favorite sets, A Rose is a Rose. I loooove this set.:-)

Have a wonderful day, everyone. If you see any good online Cyber Monday deals, let me know!

This card is so beautiful. It would be a great mother’s day card.

I had my eyes on the HP laptop with a free HP printer at Best Buy for $349.00 for black friday. I woke up at 3:00am to get in line and I thought I was early. When I got there, the line stretched around the building. There were probably 150-200 people in line already. I was bummed…..only the first 40 people got the deal. The prices weren’t as low as I expected.

Oh, I really hope that they let you post the results, I would love to see. That card is adorable, as always. I didn’t shop on Friday and I might do a bit later tonight, but I am not sure.

Michaels had 50% off all rubber stamps and 50% off coupons to be used on one item (sale or regular price) so I printed off a whole bunch of those and used them to pick up some xyron cartridges, a new xyron, a cuttlebug and some punches. They also gave you 25% off your whole purchase (sale and regular price) until noon on friday and 20% off on Saturday. I also picked up several digital photo frames to load up with wedding photos for all the parents/grandparents, they were marked down from $150 to 39.99 so I was pleased! I got some other good stuff for gifts, deals were definitely harder to come by but I still found most of what I needed. I think the deals will get much better as we get closer to christmas…the retailers will start getting desperate to unload overstocked inventory…

Hey Kelly,
I love your work!
I’ve been eagerly waiting for your post about your invitation Gocco experience. Any chance you posted it already, but I missed it somehow?
