Happy Monday!
Another day, another dollar. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I definitely did. I saw friends, ate delicious food, and got a tiny bit of craft time in (not enough though…. it’s never enough!). Also, my most wonderful girlfriend, Yoona, just entered the very last year of her twenties. Happy birthday, love! I hope this year brings you joy and fulfillment.![]()
As I’m writing this entry right now, Hubs is in the other room, scolding some ants and threatening to smoosh them. Hubs hates ants. He loathes them. Now that the weather has turned cold, ants are coming back inside, and they are annoying the heck out of us. I did, however, discover one brand of ant trap that knocks those suckers out dead.
Earlier this year, we had an ant problem in the kitchen. No matter what trap, spray, or chalk we used, those darned pests would not leave us alone. My dad gave me some ant traps he purchased from Home Depot and we hid them in the corners of our kitchen. After a couple days, the ants found the traps and they were marching one by one into the poison and bringing it back to their nasty little ant hill. Before we knew it, the ants in our kitchen were gone and didn’t come back all year! It’s time to break out more of those traps again and exterminate the evil pests.
I have a very simple card for today. Recently, I completed two invitation projects for a bridal shower and baby shower. For the invites, I made pockets for out of 8.5″x11″ card stock, and I was left with a whole lot of paper triangles. This card was made from the scraps of that project, which I’ll post later this week.
Also, Stampin’ Up’s retired stamp list will be released tomorrow. I’ll be sure to post it. For SU newbies, the retired list is released before the new catalog is introduced and it names all the stamps that SU will no longer be selling once the catalog season is over. I always get sad when the list comes out because I usually want more sets than I can afford. But alas, the old stamps must be retired to make room for new goodies. More info to come!

Card Recipe (all supplies SU unless noted): Nursery Necessities and Polka Dot stamps, cardstock in whisper white, bashful blue, and riding hood red, ink in bashful blue and riding hood red, striped grosgrain ribbon in riding hood red, Nestabilities scalloped and circle dies
