Paper Flower Pot

With 75 degree weather up here in NorCal, it feels like winter has been cut short and spring has arrived already. It was H-O-T today; so hot, the air conditioning was on in our office. I’ll admit, I’m a bit worried, especially with California’s drought situation going on. We’re overdue for a good rainy season. Also, my girlfriends and I are going snowboarding in a few weeks. How will we snowboard without the snow?

In any case, I have a spring project to share today. It’s a cute little paper vase with a flower! I wanted to fill the pot with with green jellybeans to resemble grass, but alas, I had none on hand. Lined with some sweet green yummies, wouldn’t this make an adorable wedding or bridal shower favor?

I had some time, so I created a PDF template of the flower pot box for anyone who wants to make this project. The felt flower was cut from a Big Shot die called Flower Layers and it’s adhered onto a cookie stick from Michaels using glue dots.

Enjoy!:-)

I just love the phrase “my girlfriends and I are going snowboarding” :)

We have a trip planned next weekend – 4 couples and the rest guys. That would mean 4 women and 19 guys! Ugh – too much testosterone :) Wish I had more girlfriends that were into shredding/skiing! Lucky you!

Love the flower pot :)

You are so ridiculously talented. You need to find a way to do this for a living!

Thanks for sharing! I’m a teacher and at the last minute our principal asked us to come up with a garden related project. I wanted to create something like this but wasn’t sure how I was going to pull it off but this is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing your great idea!

Hi there,

I’ve spent some lovely time wandering through your blog and enjoying your many paper craft ideas. I found my way here when looking for paper plant pot templates, and I’ve incorporated this one into a paper project of my own, here: http://nheilke.com/blog/?p=3186. I hope you won’t mind! I also love your cute little felt flower in a pot idea, and the pot’s decorations are darling.

Thanks for the lovely inspiration!
