Hello everyone! I’m back from San Diego and ready to blog once again. The wedding in SD was gorgeous. Our friends hosted their reception at the Marine Room and it was out of this world beautiful. The beach was literally right outside the window. And the food… it was heaven in a mouthful. Best wedding food I’ve ever tasted. Hubs gave a hilarious Best Man speech where he made fun of the Cal/Stanford rivalry between the couple (groom graduated from Cal and bride from Stanford). Hubs got some good chuckles from the crowd–he’s such a ham. He also prepared the slideshow for the couple, which was even better than the slideshow he prepared for us! Why? Well, Hubs did something super sweet for the bride and groom: he emailed all of their close friends who couldn’t make it to the wedding and asked them to record a short video sending well wishes to the newlyweds. Then Hubs added the footage at the end of the slideshow as a surprise! The couple was definitely surprised. How stinkin’ sweet is that? I’m so proud of Hubs. He thought the idea up all himself.
When we were in SD, we casually talked about moving there. Living expenses are definitely cheaper than the Bay Area, which is a huge plus. But the job market isn’t as diverse. Hubs ran a quick Craigslist search for jobs in SD compared to the Bay Area and it’s clear as day that SD doesn’t have as many options. I tell ya, it’s really hard to find the perfect place to live. We’re looking for a city where we can be close to our families, find an affordable home next to good schools, have plentiful job opportunities, and live off of one income so that Hubs can work while I go back to school to prepare for my future home business. I’m still not sure exactly what I want to do, but it’ll definitely be design related! In any case, a city that encompasses everything we want simply does not exist. *Sigh.* It’s hard being a grown up!
Anyway, below is the card that I made for the newlyweds. I almost forgot to make the couple a card at all so I threw this one together at 4am, right before we had to hop on our 7am flight!

Project Recipe (all supplies SU unless noted): Priceless, Heard from the Heart stamp sets, card stock/ink in whisper white, pink pirouette, certainly celery, scallop border punch, flower fusion 2 felt flowers, ribbon by PTI
