That’s great that you’re pursuing photography! I would recommend checking out the forums on flickr for your specific camera. The users are amazing, and everyone helps each other out. Punam Bean mentioned how she learned a lot through the forum flickr as well, and she’s also self taught.

Like the others have said, it’s great that you are at least setting your first goal towards photography. But you should be proud, you have something more than others do. Some people, when shooting photos, don’t even understand the “aesthetics” of photography. They don’t know about “framing” they don’t know that your subject doesn’t have to be smack-dab in the middle of the photo. The photos you have posted are so beautiful already, and that shows that you have a natural talent. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back. You’re a step ahead of the game.

it’s always that first step that’s the hardest to take, but i’m glad to hear that you’re making definite goals to attain your dreams. remember, every single photographer out there started out just like you did. good luck!
